Mariner’s Wharf Closed?!
I stumbled upon this article in News 24 few months back, explaining how Marina’s Warf was threatening to close down.
I remember the days I used to Visit my old friends out that side of the world and how traditional we would always grab a fish and chips every Saturday morning while gazing out to the harbors spectacular views! I was so grieved to hear this bad news, especially due to the fact that they have being around since 1984, being a popular spot for locals and visitors!
BUT THEN.. I visited their website recently, out of curiosity, And to my surprise the following pop up emerged:
YES, IT IS TRUE!
When the Wharfside Grill Restaurant opens on Saturday 24 October all departments at Mariner’s Wharf will have reopened

Opening & closing times:
Wharfside Grill: 12h00-17h00; Fri & Sat 12h00-20h00
Bistro Takeaways: 10h00-18h00
Fishmarket & Bakery: 09h30-17h00; Sat & Sun 09h30-17h30
Liquor Cove: Mon-Fri 09h00-17h00
Pearl Factory, Shell & Antique Shops: 10h00-17h00, Sat & Sun10h00-17h30
